It's pretty amazing to think that you have been hanging out here with us for two whole months now! How do you like it here, kid? Daddy and I love having you here. It's definitely been a big adjustment and life is very different than it was before you were born, but we really are enjoying every minute of it!
You are a very expressive little guy and love to make different faces for us. Of course, our favorite faces are your sweet smiles. You always start our day off right with great smiles when we get you out of your bassinet in the morning. You still love to sleep in your "SwaddleMe", and love your stretching time even more in the morning when we "free" you! You've been sleeping anywhere between 5 and 7 hours straight at night, which is awesome! We totally appreciate what a great sleeper you are!
You celebrated Cinco de Mayo with the "Most Interesting Man in the World"... and Mommy, Daddy, and Uncle Paul at one of our favorite restaurants. You have been out to eat with us to many places - you are so well behaved in restaurants! You even went for hibachi twice this month at Yutaka.
You also discovered that you love your play mats this month. You especially like to look at the baby in the mirror and make faces at him! Mommy and Daddy know that they should use the time that you are entertaining yourself wisely, but it's just so much fun to watch you having fun, they usually get caught up in watching you and productivity goes out the window. That's okay though, you're only going to be this age once and we are savoring it!
We had to put the preemie prefold diapers away the other day as they are just too small for you now. We are using the small prefolds with you that we originally bought and they are working really well. Our favorite fold to use on you now is the "bikini twist" fold. It seems to work great.
You are a great eater! You nurse very well and you also take a bottle of Mommy's pumped milk like a champ as well. We're VERY happy to know how well you're eating and we see you growing every day - you're wearing your 0-3 month clothing now. On Monday, we'll go to the doctor and we can't wait to hear how much you've grown!
We're not afraid to take you out anywhere with us these days and you are a champ when we go out. You've been to Kohl's and Target several times. You even came to Mommy's band concert last night and behaved really well. Get used to it, kid - you'll be at a lot more concerts as the years go by!
Life with you around is simply amazing and we are so happy to spend each day with you. We love you Nate!
