A Perfectly Lovely Sunday...

Once we got the news that we were not going to have to go in for transfer yesterday, we hopped in the car and went down to Cape May.  Cape May is my favorite place on earth and it was the perfect distraction for all of this waiting...  Of course, we talked about it ad nauseum, but at least we talked about it with a change of scenery!

We got to Cape May around lunch time so we went to our favorite lunch spot - Hot Dog Tommys.  It's a little stand about a block from the beach, and the line is always super long, but they have awesome hot dogs and mashed potato bowls and frozen coke.  These are some of my favorite foods so I was a very happy girl!  After this we walked along the boardwalk for a while.  It was a really hot and sunny day, so after a while we walked back towards the "main street" area to wander in and out of the shops.  We decided not to have a beach day since I couldn't go in the ocean anyway (because of the retrieval) and Jonathan didn't wanna sit in sandy, salty swim trunks all the way home.  We'll be back there in a few weeks for a weekend getaway, so we will get our beach time then!

After some quality time in the shops, we decided to drive out to the winery to have what we *hope* will be my last glass of wine for quite some time.  They have a beautiful veranda that looks over the vineyard, so we sat up there in the shade and enjoyed our wine.

We drove around for a little while after that - checking out all of our favorite Cape May sights, then we went to dinner at the Raw Bar of the Lobster House.  We discovered the Raw Bar several years ago and usually have at least 2 meals there every time we vacation in Cape May - even if we're only there for two days!  They have the best crab soup EVER!  We ordered tons of seafood and sat there and stuffed ourselves full of crabs and clams and mussels... yum!  I did notice a slight typo on the plates, however...

Ummmm...oops?!
During dinner I took the last of my Medrol and Cipro.  Glad to have those out of the way.

All done with these now!
After dinner, we went out to the car and I started to prepare the PIO injection while Jonathan took my new friend, the hot water bottle, inside to the bathroom to fill it up.  Jonathan did a great job giving me my injection while I leaned against the car in the parking lot - certainly a first for us!  It went just fine and then we got in the car and I sat with my best buddy water bottle.  I looked awesome, right?

Me and the water bottle.  Aren't we cute?  Kinda think it needs a name at this point...
We headed home and surprisingly didn't get caught up in too much Sunday shore traffic.  Once home we watched some Scrubs on Netflix and went to bed kinda late.  Neither of us is sleeping particularly well right now, especially me, so we are happy to have the Netflix to keep us entertained!!
